In-Situ™ Aqua TROLL® Phycoerythrin (BGA-PE) Sensor for Use with Aqua TROLL® 500/600, 0038930
Features:
- Blue-green algae sensors designed to help accurately measure cyanobacterial concentrations in freshwater and marine environments — Phycocyanin (BGA-PC) sensor for freshwater applications such as river and lake studies and Phycoerythrin (BGA-PE) sensor for saltwater applications such as coastal and estuarine studies
- Uses patented Integrated Optical Compensation — a second detector to compensate for LED drift over temperature and time for increased accuracy and stability
- Measures blue-green algae separately from chlorophyll to reduce interference for more reliable data
- Blocks external light to reduce bias
- Measure wide range of the visible spectrum using blue-green algae sensors in combination with chlorophyll a sensor, with each sensor detecting smaller ranges in order to reduce environmental interference
- Each In-Situ™ fluorometer sensor uses a separate frequency providing a unique digital signature for each light source to minimize interference between sensors when used in combination
- Internal diagnostics, lower calibration solution volume, and one- or two-point calibration means less maintenance is required
- Reduces monitoring costs because only necessary sensors to monitor the parameters of interest need to be purchased
- Sensors retain their calibration data so they can easily be transferred to different sondes
- Fluorometer sensors can be used to monitor rivers, lakes or coastal waters
