- Self-contained biological indicators designed for routine monitoring and release of loads containing implantable devices
- Vials are inoculated with Bacillus Atrophaeus spores to provide a challenge to steam sterilization
- To be used in steam test pack during sterilization cycle
- After cycle, activate media by crushing glass vial with vial activator and incubate at 57°C for 24 hrs
- Color change in media indicates spore growth and cycle failure
