Fiber Optic illuminators are versatile light sources for photomacrography, stereomicroscopy and other applications where an intense spot of light is needed. High intensity cool illumination is produced virtually without heat permitting the exit end of the fiber bundle to be placed close to the specimen without danger of heat damage. Fiber Optic illumination System brings the light precisely where it is needed and permits choice of lighting angles for best results. The Fiber Optic illuminator is composed of the power Supply/Lamp Unit and appropriate Light Guide. Features
- Allows precision light beam placement.
- Provides 150 watts of uninterrupted fiberoptic light.
- Safety interlocks automatically cut power when either system's front panel is opened, and forced air cooling prolongs lamp life.
- For photomicrography, the greater light intensity allows small lens apertures to be used to gain greater depth of field.
- The Standard EKE quartz Halogen lamp has a constant lifetime Color Temperature of 3250°K.
- The Fiber Optic illuminator is composed of the power Supply/Lamp Unit and appropriate Light Guide.
- Bifurcated/Dual Gooseneck type Light Guide is available for directional lighting requirements. These flexible light guides are self-supporting and can be adjusted to any angle. These can also accept optional Focusing Spot Lenses.
- The 150 watts Power Supply uses a quartz Halogen lamp with dichroic heat dissipating filter.
- The system is cooled by a vibration-less fan and is equipped with a variable brightness control and an on/off switch.
