Advantec MFS® Model KG47 Glass Filter Holder, 47 mm, 300 mL, 311400
Features:
- Filter up to 1000 mL
- Standard size used for filtering liquid samples under vacuum for microbiological or particulate analysis
- Holders are available with either a sintered glass base, stainless steel screen, or PTFE support—stainless steel screen should be used when producing ultraclean filtrate or when filtering proteinaceous solutions; PTFE support is recommended with acidic solutions when higher flow rate is desired
- 2 inch glass extension allows for physical separation of the 47 mm filters that are set up in series
- Samples can be processed through successively smaller pore size filters and collected samples can be analyzed separately—extension will accept either the stainless steel or PTFE support screen
- Units are offered with a borosilicate glass funnel, sintered glass base, stainless steel support (w/PTFE gasket), or PTFE support and base, anodized aluminum clamp, and silicone stopper No.8
