- Inclusive and compact
- Incorporates closed loop cooling subsystem in calorimeter — uses thermoelectric cooler assembly attached directly to one liter water tank which supplies cooling water
- External nitrogen pressurized tank is used to supply rinse water to calorimeter
- Fixed bomb and bucket design where bucket is not removed during test allows for automated bucket and jacket fill as well as automated vessel fill and rinse in addition to automated data collection and reporting
- 6400 requires one minute of operator time per test, (saving 5 minutesper test over removable bomb and bucket calorimeters) allowing technician to operate up to four calorimeters simultaneously
- Fixed bomb and bucket allows oxygen supply to direct into head of bomb at beginning of each test — incorporated check valve dynamically seals when bomb is pressurized and releases gases automatically when calorimeter returns to starting temperature
- Fixed bucket designed to provide smooth circulation over vessel surface, to repeatedly fill bucket volumetrically — bomb head closure seals bucket simultaneously with bomb, minimizing water volume required per test and permitting rapid, automatic refilling for each test
- Water heated by combustion is automatically drained from bucket at conclusion of test and replaced with cooling water to bring bomb and bucket rapidly back to starting temperature
- Patented closure design of fixed bomb allows user to seal and lock head into cylinder with one sixteenth turn
- Main bomb seal is o-ring optimized to minimize frictional wear extending seal's life span
- At conclusion of test, inside surface of bomb is automatically washed to remove products of combustion eliminating one of most tedious and time consuming manual operation of removable bomb units
- Bomb is always washed as soon as final temperature is determined — generally within 4-5 minutes of bomb firing— extending bomb service time by minimizing time any combustion acids attach to inner surface of bomb
