Description
Preiser Scientifics Grindability Tester is a compact precision built instrument designed specifically for the determination of the relative hardness or abrasive potential of coal. Unit is constructed in strict accordance with ASTM Designation D-409 and conforms to procedures proposed by ISO for the determination of the Hardgrove Grindability index of coal and coke.
Features
- Stationary lower steel grinding bowl is mated with an upper grinding ring consisting of eight steel balls that rotate at 20 rpm.
- Grinding ring is rotated by a motor/belt driven spindle to which 29kg of removable weights are attached that bear onto the eight rotating balls.
- A counter/switch assemble totals the number of revolutions and automatically stops the machine at the end of 60 revolutions.
- Sample loading is remarkably easy because of the design of the machine.
- Machine is virtually maintenance free because high-quality and durable materials have been used in the manufacture of this instrument.
