The HI 98509 Checktemp®1C is an highly accurate thermometer with a stainless steel probe and 3 meter cable. This penetration probe is perfect for fast response in liquids, air, frozen, and semisolids, and it easily penetrates semisolid materials, such as fruits, vegetables, and cheeses. It utilizes a high-tech NTC thermistor sensor to measure the temperature. Thermistors make it possible to obtain extremely high accuracy in a very short period of time.
A calibration test device, Cal Check®, has been incorporated into the meter. Activate the test switch and this device will simulate a 0.0°C (32°F) signal that has to be read on the LCD within a range of ±0.3°C (±0.5°F). This assures the user that the reading is reliable and accurate, every time.
Routine controls are fast and simple for both incoming and outgoing goods. Constructed of AISI 316 stainless steel material, this probe is in compliance with food regulations. This thermometer is an ideal instrument for measuring temperature according to HACCP requirements.
A model with a factory calibration certificate is also available upon request.
