The HI 981402-01 is a water resistant pH meter designed for outdoor installations and highly humid conditions. It has a molded eye hook that allows it to be mounted close to the sampling location and the 12VDC power supply is ideal for continuous monitoring for extended periods of time.
The unit has a built-in digital LCD. It is supplied with an HI 1286 double junction, plastic-body, gel-filled combination pH electrode with a flexible 2 m (6.6') cable. This electrode has a uniquely designed clog-resistant PTFE junction that enhances both probe life and accuracy. The probe has a BNC connector that is protected by a waterproof sleeve.
The meter has an alarm set point that can be selected anwhere in the 3 to 11 pH range. A red LED warns the user in the event the reading is outside the pH set point by more than ±0.5 pH.
The meter can be manually calibrated at two points by adjusting the two easily accessible trimmers on the front of the unit.
