Whirl-Pak® Speci-Sponge Bag, Cellulose, Dry, 4-1/2 in. x 9 in., 100/PK, B01245
Features:
- Bag is designed for environmental surface sampling of work areas, equipment, animal carcasses, and any other place where testing for Listeria, Salmonella, E.coli, coliforms, and other foodborne pathogens, or anthrax is required
- Special dry sponge is free of bactericides and has been tested to be non-inhibitory
- Sponge is sterilized inside Whirl-Pak® bag via post-manufacturing gamma sterilization
- Wearing sterile glove when wiping with sponge is recommended to help prevent contamination
- After sample has been collected and sponge returned to bag, it can be sent to lab for testing
- In lab, media may be added directly to bag and sample incubated inside bag for +/- test, or sample may be squeezed out of sponge, pipetted, and plated out
- Volume/capacity is measured when the bag is closed and tab is folded over three times (volume and dimensions are approximate ±5%)
- 5 years shelf-life from sterilization certification date
