Abstract:
- Covers test methods to determine characteristics of motor and aviation fuels and ignition characteristics of diesel fuels. This volume contains all the newest standards from ASTM Committee D02 – including D7974-15, Standard Test Method for Determination of Farnesane, Saturated Hydrocarbons, and Hexahydrofarnesol Content of Synthesized Iso-Paraffins (SIP) Fuel for Blending with Jet Fuel by Gas Chromotography. ASTM D7974 is the first standard to identify the protocols necessary to blend mid-level ethanol fuels at the terminal and retail level that equal the fuel quality and performance expected from fuels meeting other ASTM fuel specifications.
