Description
Ahlstrom® Quantitative Filter Paper, Grade 54, Ashless, 12.5 cm Diameter, 10 microns Pore, 100/PK, 0540-1250
Features:
- 10 microns, Fast Speed filter paper for quantitative gravimetric techniques
- Medium loading capacity
- Acid-washed and ashless for gravimetric and instrumental analysis
- High purity and uniformity
- Fast filtering grade for rapid filtration of coarse particles and gelatinous precipitates such as iron, zirconium and aluminum hydroxides, and cobalt sulfide
- Grade 54 is also used in air pollution testing to determine gaseous compounds
- Recommended for fast analysis procedures for unstable precipitates such as silicon, which requires speedy filtration
- For coal, mining, cement, and metallurgical laboratories, Grade 54 is often selected when filtration speed is critical and the precipitate is relatively coarse-common alternative to slower grades such as 74 and 94
- Considered equivalent to Cytiva® Whatman® Grade 41
