Features:
- Cylindrical crucible with capsule type lid, both of translucent silica
- Crucible and lid are matched so that combined weight lies between 10 g and 14 g
- Fit of lid is critical — lid for particular crucible should fit such that when placed in position, maximum horizontal clearance around the lip of crucible is 0.5 mm
- Edge of crucible and underside of lid flange a ground flat
