Fieldner Furnace for the Determination of Volatile Matter in Coal and Coke, 120V, FA120V120
Features:
- Used for the determination of volatile matter in coal and coke by ASTM methods
- Equipped with a chromel wire basket which supports a crucible containing the coal sample in the furnace and which is always positioned at the same depth in the furnace to duplicate the conditions of volatilization
- Heating chamber is 1-1/2" in diameter and 6" deep and consists of a refractory cylinder on which the heating element wire is cemented
- Thermocouple may be inserted through a hole in the bottom of the furnace so it touches the bottom of the crucible, permitting accurate temperature measurement during test
- Overall dimensions are 5-5/8" in diameter and 12-5/8" in height
- Power consumption at full load is approximately 360 watts
- Furnace controller required for proper control of operating temperatures
