- 500 mL bottle of ionic strength adjuster (ISA) solution for use with Hanna's HI4113 (HNA-HI4113) nitrate ion selective electrodes
- Formulated to fix ionic strength of sample and standards so both constant
- Without addition of ISA, ion selective electrode would measure ion activity—addition of ISA stabilizes ionic strength and permits measurements as ion concentration
- With some ISEs, ISA solution is also used to adjust solution’s pH or to remove any potential interferences from competing ions that are present
- Hanna ISA solutions have lot number and expiration date clearly marked on label and have air tight bottle with tamper-proof seal to ensure quality
- Specially produced to have an expiration of 5 years from the date of manufacture for an unopened bottle.
