Model 500DG has a capacity of 400 grams of coal, gypsum, or other material per minute using a screen with 0.024 in. diameter perforations and is recommended to pulverize minus-4 mesh coal to minus-60 mesh.

• 390-cubic inch (6390 cm³) sample cup is spring-loaded against seal - hand lever will release cup
• Feed auger is chain-driven from enclosed 1/8 HP, 2.7 amp, 230 volt, single phase, 60 Hz TEFC gear motor - auger speed is about 130 rpm
• Rotor is mounted on shaft of a HP, 230 volt, single phase, 60 Hz, 12 amp, permanent magnet, open motor - speed is about 10,000 rpm.
• A Nema-1 motor starter has overload protection for each motor - open-latch sensor cuts power to motors
