Pulverizer, Model 500DG-2, 6 x 2, 1 H.P., without Screens 115 V/1 ph/60 Hz

Model 500DG-2 has a capacity of 400 grams of coal, gypsum, or other material per minute using a screen with 0.024" diameter perforations and is recommended to pulverize minus 4 mesh coal to minus 60 mesh. Screen plates are not furnished with this model.

Features

• The tinned, 60-cubic inch (980 cm3) capacity, feed hopper has a vinyl snap-on cover.
• The pulverizing chamber is completely machined and sealed.
• A quick-opening latch provides easy access to the pulverizer and interrupts power to both motors when the door is open.
• The one-piece, dynamically balanced rotor is easily cleaned.
• Screen plates and lock pins must be ordered separately as they are not included with this machine. Screen plates are circles with the loose ends held by two lock pins that extend into the pulverizing chamber. Available perforation diameters are (in inches) 0.020, 0.024, 0.033, 0.040, 0.0625, and 0.093. Also available are 0.010 X 17/32 inch slots.
• The 390-cubic inch (6390 cm3) tinned sample cup is spring-loaded against the seal. The hand lever will release the cup.
• The feed auger is chain-driven from an enclosed 1/8 HP, 2.7 amp, 115 volt, single phase, 60Hz TENV gear motor. The auger speed is about 130 rpm.
• The rotor is mounted on the shaft of a one HP, 115 volt, single phase, 12 amp, permanent magnet, open motor. The speed is about 10,000 rpm.
• A Nema-1 motor starter has overload protection for each motor. The open-latch sensor cuts the power until the reset (stop) button is actuated.
